The Open 2018
The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art (RCA) is hosting The Open 2018 art exhibition. It runs from Saturday 6th January through to Saturday 10th February.
This is a prestigious annual art exhibition displaying selected work submitted by non-members of the Academy. The selected artwork covers a broad range of subjects and media. Pieces are reviewed and selected by members of the Academy. And the Open 2018 offers a platform for new, exciting and original work. It’s well worth planning a visit to perhaps combined with a potter around the historic town of Conwy.
The RCA is located on Crown Lane, in the centre of Conwy. The nearest car parks are the Castle or Mount Pleasant Road, both about 300m away.
More about the RCA
The Royal Cambrian Academy is a unique institution in Wales. It is an independent charity supporting Welsh art and artists. And a place where art is encouraged, made, exhibited and debated.
Receiving no public funding, the RCA depends on the continuing generosity of visitors, friends and the art buying public who support its exhibitions. The ongoing support of the Academy enables it to continue to grow and flourish.
Founded in 1882, the RCA is a centre for artistic excellence in Wales. Over 100 artist members exhibit and sell at the Gallery. Furthermore, it promotes up and coming artists of quality. And the gallery plays host to historical exhibitions. It is also a lively venue for education, groups and classes. To find out more visit www.rcaconwy.org.
